Six injured in N'ganj explosion

Six people were injured in an explosion in a house in Fatulla of Narayanganj on Saturday night.

Among the deceased, four were identified as Sabuj Khandaker, owner of Hoshiari Factory in Hosaini Nagar area, readymade garment worker Rana Mia, his wife Bithi Akter, and fruit trader Abu Kalam.

Locals said the incident took on the fifth floor of a multi-storey building in Kashipur Hosain Nagar area.

After the incident, the injured were rushed to Narayanganj General (Victoria) Hospital and then, sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Narayanganj General (Victoria) Hospital's doctor Nazmul Hossain said several people with burn injuries were brought to their hospital and after primary treatment, they were sent to DMCH.

Narayanganj Fire Service and Civil Defence deputy assistant director Fakhar Uddin Ahmed said they could not know the cause of the explosion yet and can say details later.
