National polls schedule to be announced in November

The schedule for the 12th parliamentary polls will be announced in November. 

Election Commissioner Md Anisur Rahman told journalists at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital’s Agargaon on Wednesday.

He said the ballot papers will be reached to the polling centres on the day of the election except remote areas. 

Earlier on July 30, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal said they will not announce the national polls schedule before October but the election will be held on time. 

It is mentionable that, the 11th parliamentary election was held on December 30, 2019.
