10 dengue patients die; 2495 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Ten dengue patients died and 2,495 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours (from Friday 8 am to Saturday 8 am).

With the latest death, a total of 303 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.

Currently, 9,334 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 4,680 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 4,654 are in other divisions.

As many as 63,968 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 54,331 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
