As many as 425 undocumented migrants, including 252 Bangladeshi nationals, were detained in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia early Saturday.

Kuala Lumpur immigration department detained them in operations carried out in three separate flats at Taman Connaught in Cheras.

The department Director Syamsul Badrin Mohshin said they were held due to misuse of pass or permit, staying illegally and without identity card and committing various offenses.

He said they will continue to take action against those foreign nationals who stay in Malaysia illegally, misuse their pass and conduct unethical activities.
