Road accidents claim 576 lives in July

As many as 576 people lost their lives and 1,055 others received injuries in 505 road accidents across the country in July, according to Jatri Kalyan Samity.

Of them, 195 died and 122 were injured in motorcycle accidents, the passengers' welfare platform said in a press release on Saturday.

Jatri Kalyan Samity also said 48 people were killed in 47 accidents that took place in railways and 16 accidents in waterways claimed 21 lives in the country during the last month.
