Teenage boy drowns in pond

A teenage boy drowned in a pond in Baraipara Municipal area in Sariakandi upazila of Bogra district on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Suruj, 15, son of Rezaul Karim, a resident of the village.

Confirming the matter Sariakandi Municipal Mayor, Alomgir Shahi Sumon said Suruj drowned in the pond when he went to the pond for taking bath with his friends at noon.

Locals later found the body floating on the pond and rescued it.
