10 dengue patients die; 2584 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Ten dengue patients died and 2,584 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours (from Monday 8 am to Tuesday 8 am).

With the latest death, a total of 261 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.

Currently, 9,264 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 4,869 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 4,395 are in other divisions.

As many as 54,416 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 44,891 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
