2 killed in bus-car collision in Khulna

A man and a woman were killed in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a private car near Mechaghona area of Dumuria upazila in Khulna on Saturday. 

Dumuria Fire Station in-charge Sardar Shariful Islam confirmed the matter to BSS saying that, "Twenty one people suffered injuries in the accident and were taken to Dumuria Upazilla Health Complex and Khulna Medical College."

However, police could not identify the victims immediately.

According to locals and police officials, the speeding passenger bus lost control over its wheels and plunged into a roadside ditch after colliding with the private car.

The victims were inside the bus and they died on the spot, fire service officials confirmed.
