Mohammad A Arafat takes oath as MP

Mohammad Ali Arafat has taken oath as MP of Dhaka-17 constituency comprising Gulshan, Banani, Bhasantek and Dhaka Cantonment.

Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury administered the oath-taking ceremony at Sangsad Bhaban. 

Parliament Secretariat Secretary KM Abdus Salam moderated the program.

Earlier on July 17, Awami League candidate Mohammad Ali Arafat won the by-polls to Dhaka-17 constituency.

The seat fell vacant after the death of film actor and lawmaker Akbar Hossain Pathan, popularly known as Farooque, on May 15.
