Ex-BCL leader hacked dead in Dhaka

A former local leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League was hacked to death by the miscreants in Shahjahanpur area of Dhaka early Friday.

Deceased Mohammad Oliullah, 36, was the former office secretary of Shahjahanpur Thana unit BCL.

The miscreants hacked Oliullah on his way home in Gulbag Joardar Lane around 1 am, leaving him seriously injured.

Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

One Mamun who took him to DMCH said Oliullah was the former officer secretary of Shahjahanpur Thana unit BCL and was now doing Jubo League's politics.

His wife Tanzina Dewan is also a member of the central Mahila Awami League.

DMCH Police Camp in-charge inspector Md Bachchu Mia confirmed the matter.
