Six dengue patients die; 1424 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Six dengue patients died and 1424 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours (from Saturday 8 am to Sunday 8 am).

With the latest death, a total of 106 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.

Currently, 4,955 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 3,154 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 1801 are in other divisions

As many as 20,878 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 15,817 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
