Light to moderate rain likely
Bangladesh Meteorology Department (BMD) on Friday predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am today.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country," said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.
However, day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 35.3 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi of Rajshahi division while today's minimum temperature 23.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at Bandarban of Chattogram division.
The highest rainfall was recorded 144mm (millimeter) at Tetulia of Rangpur division in the last 24 hours till 6am today.
The sun sets at 6:49pm today and rises at 5:20am tomorrow in the capital.
