Two killed as covered van rams motorcycle in N'ganj

Two people were killed as a covered van rammed a motorcycle in Bandar upazila of Narayanganj on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Amanulla Aman, 35, son of late Modasser Mia, a resident of East Keudhala area under Madanpur union and Shishir Mia, 28, son of Aminul Mia of Jangal area under Dhampur union in the upazila.
Kanchpur Highway Police Station officer in-charge (TI) Md Ibrahim said a covered van hit the motorcycle from behind on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Keudhala area, leaving the riders dead on the spot.
Police seized the vehicle but its driver and his assistant managed to flee, he added.
