Seven dengue patients die; 1054 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Seven dengue patients died and 1054 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours (from Monday 8 am to Tuesday 8 am).

With the latest death, a total of 83 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.

Currently, 3,303 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 2,306 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 997 are in other divisions

As many as 14,897 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 11,511 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
