Two dengue patients die; 820 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Two dengue patients died and 820 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours (from Friday 8 am to Saturday 8 am).

With the latest death, a total of 67 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.

Currently, 2,502 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 1,773 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 729 are in other divisions

As many as 12,118 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 9,549 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
