Govt appoints new DCs in 10 districts

The government has appointed new deputy commissioners (DCs) in 10 districts of the country.

The Public Administration Ministry issued an order in this regard on Thursday.

Of the 10 deputy commissioners, nine DCs were appointed newly while one was transferred to Dhaka from Gazipur.

Gazipur Deputy Commissioner Anisur Rahman was transferred to Dhaka while Public Security Division deputy secretary Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan was appointed DC of Rangamati, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor's private secretary (deputy secretary) Shah Mozahid Uddin appointed Bandarban's DC, Prime Minister's Principal Secretary's private secretary (deputy secretary) Md Kaisarul Islam appointed DC of Tangail, and Home Minister's private secretary (deputy secretary) Md Asaduzzaman appointed DC of Pabna.

Arifuzzaman, private secretary (deputy secretary) of minister for water resources,  made DC of Shariatpur, deputy secretary Suraiya Zahan attached to Finance Division appointed DC of Lakshmipur, Khandaker Md Mushfiqur Rahman, private secretary (deputy secretary) of Disaster Management and Relief, made DC of Cumilla, deputy secretary Shahina Akter attached to Finance Division appointed DC of Feni and Power Division deputy secretary Abul Fate Mohammad Shafiqul Islam made DC of Gazipur.
