One dies, three missing in C'nawabganj boat capsize

A man died and three others, including a child, went missing after a boat capsized in the Padma River in Sadar upazila of Chapainawabganj on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Enamul Haque, 60, a resident of Chhayrashia village under Alatuli union while those who went missing are Nezam Uddin, 57, and Abdur Rahman, 52, residents of the same village and Pakhi, 13, son of Sumon Ali of Char Debinagar.
The incident took place at Raninagar Tikarpara Balugram under Alatuli union around 2:45 pm.
Sadar Model Police Station officer in-charge Sazzad Hossain said a boat carrying some people sank in Raninagar Tikarpara Balugram area amid stormy wind.
Later, locals recovered the body of a man and three people went missing, he added.
He also said a team of divers from Rajshahi started a rescue operation.
