Couple crushed under train in Tangail

A man and his wife were crushed under the wheels of a train in Gopalpur upazila of Tangail on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Md Arzu, 50, a resident of Rajgopalbari in the upazila and his wife Shompa Begum, 40. 

Jhaoail union parishad chairman Mizanur Rahman Talukder said a Dhaka-bound train from Jamalpur hit the couple in Mohail area around 1:30 pm when they were crossing the rail line, leaving them dead.
