CEC meets President at Bangabhaban

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal paid a courtesy call on President Mohammed Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban on Monday. 

The CEC met the President at 12:30pm. 

The election commissioners Md Ahsan Habib Khan, Begum Rasheda Sultana, Md Alamgir and EC Secretary Md Jahangir Alam were, among others, present during this time.

They spent 45 minutes there and discussed different issues including election with the President.

It was the CEC’s first courtesy call after Shahabuddin became a 22nd President of the country. 

Election Commissioner Md Ahsan Habib Khan said we congratulated the President. It was a courtesy call.
