Eid-ul-Azha holiday extended by a day

The government has extended the Eid-ul-Azha vacation for one day on Tuesday (June 27).

The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting on Monday following the recommendation of the cabinet committee on law and order.

A minister, seeking anonymity, confirmed the extension of the Eid holiday. 

Now, the Eid holiday will start from June 27 and continue till June 30. The following day, Saturday, is the weekend. 

Eid-ul-Azha is likely to be celebrated on June 29.  

Earlier, the government extended the holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr by one day.
