Zero Covid death, 108 cases recorded in 24 hrs
The Bangladesh government reported zero COVID-19 death and 108 cases in the last 24 hours (from Friday 8 am to Saturday 8 am).
With this, the total number of fatalities rose to 29,455, and infections stood at 20,41,240.
The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Saturday.
The new cases were found after testing 1,996 samples in the past day.
During the period, 71 patients recovered from the illness, taking the total recoveries to 20,07,309.
Bangladesh, however, first reported its coronavirus cases on March 8, 2020.
The virus first emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December 2019 and then it spread to other countries.
