Four dengue patients die; 477 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Four dengue patients died and 477 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours (from Friday 8 am to Saturday 8 am).

With the latest death, a total of 33 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.

Currently, 1,138 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 911 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 227 are in other divisions.

As many as 4,603 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 3,432 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
