Death toll from N'ganj charger fan fire rises to 3

Another victim of the fire in a charger fan in Fatulla of Narayanganj died in a hospital in Dhaka on Wednesday, taking the total number of deaths to three.

Victim Sonia Akter, 30, died while undergoing treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

SHNIBPS resident surgeon Dr Md Tariqul Islam said around 42 percent of her body was burnt.

Earlier, Bulbuli Begum, 40, and Abdus Salam Mondal, 55, who sustained burn injuries in the fire, passed away at the facility.

Five members of a family suffered burn injuries after a charger fan caught fire in Fatulla of Narayanganj on Friday.

They were, later, admitted to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (SHNIBPS) in Dhaka.
