468 people killed in road accidents in May

At least 468 people were killed and 769 others injured in 564 road accidents across the country in the last month.

Of them, 181 people were killed and 114 injured in 185 motorcycle accidents. 

Bangladesh Jatri Kalyan Samity unveiled a report in this regard on Wednesday.

During the period, 43 more people were killed in 50 accidents on rail tracks, 16 people were killed and 8 others injured in 18 accidents on river routes while 16 others went missing during, the report said.

The report was published after analysing accident reports published in the country's national and regional dailies and online media.
