Housewife strangulated to death in Nilphamari

A housewife was strangulated to death allegedly by her husband in Domar upazila of Nilphamari on Tuesday morning over a conjugal conflict.

The deceased was Meghna Rani, 35, wife of Nirmal Chandra, 40, a resident of Atiabari (Masterpara) area in the upazila.

Domar Police Station officer in-charge Mahmud Un Nabi said Nirmal strangulated her wife Meghna this morning following a quarrel with her over a conjugal conflict.

Being informed, police recovered the body and detained Nirmal in this connection, he added.
