3 killed in Sylhet road accident

Three people were killed and another was injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Nij Kurua area under Osmani Nagar upazila in Sylhet on Monday, reports BSS.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The accident occurred in the area when a Sylhet-bound truck hit another standing truck from behind around 5.30am, leaving three people, including the driver and his assistant, dead on the spot and injured another one, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tamabil Highway Police Abul Kashem said.

Police and Fire Service personnel recovered the bodies from the spot and sent the bodies to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for post-mortem, he added.
