Youth gets life in teenage girl rape case

A court in Faridpur on Sunday sentenced a man to life-term imprisonment in a teenage girl rape case.
The lifer is Md Shamim Molla, 33, a resident of Piarpur village in Sadar upazila.
The district Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Md Hafizur Rahman gave the verdict.
The court also fined him Tk 1 lakh.
The case statement said Shamim violated the teenage girl on May 12 of 2020.
Later, the victim's mother lodged a case with Kotwali Police Station in this connection.
