Three dengue patients die; 97 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Three dengue patients died and 97 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours (from Saturday 8 am to Sunday 8 am).

With the latest death, a total of 16 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.

Currently, 387 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka. 

Of them, 338 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 49 are in other divisions.

As many as 2,376 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 1,973 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
