Lightning kills 2 in Munshiganj

Two people were killed in lightning strikes in Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshiganj on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Mohammad Kawser, son of Shahjahan, and Jummon Sarder, son of Upen Sarder, residents of Kanakshar village in Louhajang upazila.

Locals said thunderbolts struck two people in Kusumpur Lebutala area around 2 pm soon after they got down from a battery-run auto-rickshaw, leaving them dead.

Sirajdikhan Police Station officer in-charge AKM Mizanul Haque confirmed the matter.
