Two killed in Barishal oil tanker explosion

Two people were killed and another went missing after an oil tanker caught fire in Kirtonkhola river in Barishal on Thursday afternoon. 

The deceased were identified as Babul Kanti, 64, and Swadhin, 22.

Mizanur Rahman, deputy director of Barishal divisional fire service, said they being informed about the explosion around 3:45 pm went to the spot and recovered two bodies.

A worker of the tanker named Sumon Sen said the ship carrying around 3.50 liter of oil anchored at Meghna depot in Barishal three years ago and it was supposed to unload oil from it but the incident took place before this.
