Lightning claims 340 lives in 13 months

As many as 340 people were killed in lightning strikes across the country in the last 13 months.

Of them, 66 people died to date this year and most of the victims were farmers.

Save the Society and Thunderstorms Awareness Forum (SSTF) revealed this in a report on Thursday.

The organization prepared the statistics based on news published on national and local dailies and online news portals and broadcast on television.
