Rain likely

Bangladesh Meteorology Department (BMD) has predicted rain or thundershowers across the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9am on Saturday.

"Rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions with hails at isolated places," said a Met Office press release.

Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 36.4 degrees Celsius at Feni and Bandarban while today's minimum temperature 20.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at Nikli.

The sun sets at 6.26pm today and rises at 5.26 am tomorrow in the capital.
