Rajshahi’s only female newspaper hawker dies

Dil Afroz Khuki alias Khukumoni, the only female newspaper hawker in Rajshahi, has passed away. 

She breathed her last at Missionaries of Charity Ashadan Mother Teresa Monastery around 1:30am on Thursday.

Juan, a sister of the monastery, confirmed her death.

Rajshahi Deputy Commissioner Shamim Ahmed said he went there after being informed of her death. Khukumoni’s body will be handed over to her family if they want. If they don’t want to take any responsibility she will be buried by the district administration as per the religious customs.
