Condolences pour in for Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury
Condolences and tributes continue to pour in at the death of noted public health expert and valiant freedom fighter Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury.
Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen on Wednesday expressed profound shock and sorrow at his death, reports BSS.
Dr Momen, who now on an official visit to the USA, in a condolence message prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Recalling his contribution to founding of the Gonoshasthaya Kendra (GK), the first private hospital in independent Bangladesh, the foreign minister said, "Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury had worked whole life to make the health care easier for the common people."
Chowdhury, also a leading civil society figure, breathed his last around 11.35pm on Tuesday while undergoing treatment at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital at the age of 81.
Awami League Advisory Council Member and Central 14-party Coordinator and Spokesperson Amir Hossain Amu, Agriculture Minister Dr. Muhammad Abdur Razzaque, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin, State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury and State Minister for Labour and Employment Begum Monnujan Sufian also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury.
