Infection detected in Dr Zafrullah's blood
An infection has been detected in the blood of Gonoshasthaya Kendra Founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury.
Brigadier General (retd) Dr Mamun Mostafi, the main coordinator of the medical board formed for his treatment, said this on Tuesday.
He, also the chief of the Nephrology Department at Gonoshasthaya Samaj Vittik Medical College, said they found a positive response after giving Dr Zafrullah drugs to control infection in the blood.

Mentioning that he is still in ventilation, his dialysis started around 2:15 pm and other treatments are also going on, Dr Mamun Mostafi added.
Dr Zafrullah has long been suffering from kidney disease. He was admitted to Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital at Dhanmondi of capital Dhaka on April 5 after he fell ill critically and is now undergoing treatment there.
