Dr Zafrullah's health condition remains unchanged
The physical condition of Gonoshasthaya Kendra Founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury, who is receiving treatment in a hospital in Dhaka, remained unchanged.
Gonoshasthaya Kendra Press Advisor Jahangir Alam Mintu said this to Jago News on Saturday afternoon.
He said Dr Zafrullah has long been suffering from kidney disease and is critically ill since April 5. He is, however, suffering from kidney failure, liver problems, heart disease and septicemia.
He was being special medicine for the last two days as oxygen saturation and blood pressure decreased in his body, Mintu said, adding that his physical condition is critical but stable.
Dr Zafrullah is now taking treatment at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital, Dhanmondi in the capital under the supervision of Brigadier General (retd) Professor Dr Mamun Mostafi, the chief of the Nephrology Department at Gonoshasthaya Samaj Vittik Medical College.
