Winners of Jago News 'mother language' quiz receive prizes

The winners of Jago News's quiz competition on the occasion of February 21 and International Mother Language Day have received prizes.

The prizes were distributed among the winners at the seminar room of Jago News on Wednesday.

Jago News Acting Editor KM Zeaul Haque, Additional News Editor Ashif Aziz, Feature In-charge Salah Uddin Mahmud, Sonargaon University Registrar SM Nurul Huda, Head of Public Relations Nahid  Hasan were, among others, present at the prize-giving ceremony.

KM Zeaul Haque said Jago News has been arranging such quiz contest to inspire proper use of Bangla language and will continue it.

Sonargaon University Registrar Nurul Huda said a large number of competitors correctly answered the questions but five have been selected as winners through lottery.

He also thanked those who took part in the quiz but could not win the competition. 

Sonargaon University supports such arrangements of Jago News and will continue in the future, the registrar added.

The month-long quiz is arranged in February every year on the occasion of International Mother Language Day with the cooperation of Sonargaon University and the e-commerce site JaChai.com
