5 to die for killing school boy in Narsingdi
A Narsingdi court on Wednesday convicted and sentenced five people to death over school boy Ayon Killing in 2013.
The convicts are Sojib Khan, 22, Shakil Mia, 18, Imran, 20, Shamim Osman, 19 and Rumel Mia, 18.
The court fined tk 1 lakh each.
According to prosecution, miscreants abducted Hasibul Hasan Ayon, 6, son of Shoharab Hossain and a class I student of a local school on May 26, 2013.
On May 7, one Rubel called to Ayon’s father and demanded tk 2 lakh as ransom otherwise he threatened him (Shoharab) to kill his son.
On the next day, Shoharab filed an abduction case with with Sadar Model Police Station.
On May 10, locals recovered the body of Ayon from the Shitalokkha River.
After examining all the records and witness, Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Shamim Ahmed handed down the verdict.
