Gulistan blast death toll rises to 26 as another dies

Another victim of the explosion in a building in Dhaka's Gulistan died in a hospital in the capital on Sunday, 19 days after the incident.

With this, the death toll from the blast increased to 26.

Deceased Md Hasan, 32, lived in Siddique Bazar area of Gulistan in the capital and was the son of Abu Ahmed, a resident of Sonapur village in Begumganj upazila of Noakhali.

He died at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery around 9:30 am, the resident surgeon of the facility Dr SM Ayub Hossain said, adding that around 12 percent of his body was burnt.

Earlier, the explosion occurred on the ground floor of a seven-storey building at Siddique Bazar in Gulistan of capital Dhaka on March 7.
