Actress Mahi’s husband Rakib returns home

Gazipur’s basan thana Awami League Joint Secretary Rakib Sarker, who is a warrant accused in two cases, returned home on Sunday morning after performing Umrah in Saudi Arabia. 

Dhallywood actress Mahiya Mahi received her husband Rakib at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) around 9:45am. Later, they went to their residence in Dhaka.  

Rakib told Jago News that he is respectful to the law and will face the cases legally.

“I didn’t commit any crime,” he said.

Earlier on Saturday, Mahi was arrested from the HSIA and granted bail in a case filed under the Digital Security Act (DSA). 

In the case, Mahi was accused of deteriorating the law and order situation by spreading defamatory information on Facebook live.
