38 injured in Faridpur dog bites
At least 38 people, including women and children, have been injured after being bitten by a dog in Sadar upazila of Faridpur.
The incident took place in several villages under Kaizuri and Kanaipur unions on Friday afternoon.
The injured were admitted to Faridpur General Hospital, and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital, Faridpur.
Locals and the hospitals' sources said a dog suddenly started biting people in several villages of the two unions, leaving at least 38 people injured.

In this regard, Faridpur General Hospital resident doctor Ganesh Kumar Agarwar said 38 people, including women and children, went to the facility with dog bite cases from Friday afternoon to night.
Of them, seriously injured were shifted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College, Faridpur, he said, adding that they faced no problem to treat them as there were adequate vaccines.
However, locals beat up the dog to death, the sources added.
