Fardin murder case: Bushra gets permanent bail
A Dhaka court has granted permanent bail to Amatullah Bushra in a case lodged over the murder of her friend and BUET student Fardin Noor Parash, 24.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shanto Islam Mallik granted her permanent bail and fixed April 16 for the next hearing of the case.
Earlier on February 6, Yeasin Shikder, investigation officer of the case and Inspector of DB police, submitted the final report seeking exemption of Bushra from the charge of the case.
On January 8, Bushra was granted bail by a Dhaka court until the submission of the probe report in the case. Later, she walked out of Kashimpur Women’s Central Jail, Gazipur on January 10.
On November last year, police arrested private university student Bushra from capital Dhaka's Rampura area in the case.
Fardin, a third-year student of the Civil Engineering department of BUET, went missing on November 5.
On the same day, his father Kazi Nuruddin Rana, a resident of Noyamati area in Fatulla of Narayanganj, filed a general diary with Rampura Station in Dhaka about his missing.
On November 7, naval police recovered his body from Shitalakhya river in Narayanganj.
Later, Kazi Nuruddin lodged a case against Bushra and some unnamed people with the same police station accusing them of killing Fardin and covering up his body.
