NDC's 23-member delegation visits Bagerhat
A 23-member delegation from National Defence College (NDC), Dhaka has visited Shat Gambuj Mosque and the office of the deputy commissioner in Bagerhat as part of their education tour.
The delegation, led by Major General Syed Tarek Hussain, OSP, AWC, PSC, came to the office of Bagerhat deputy commissioner on Tuesday morning.
The team consists of eight brigadier generals and three majors of Bangladesh Army, a commodore of Bangladesh Navy, an air commodore of Bangladesh Air Force, three joint secretaries of Bangladesh Civil Service and six armed forces members from friendly countries (Egypt, India, Kenya, Nigeria, Sri Lanka and Sudan).
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Azizur Rahman and other officials of the district administration greeted all the delegation members with flowers.
Later, the DC briefed the NDC team about Bagerhat's ongoing activities and future plans.
In the discussion, the importance and possibility of Sundarbans, Shat Gambuj Mosque and Khanjahan Ali shrine as international travel destinations were upheld.
Besides, socioeconomic issues of local people and guidelines for different development activities were discussed.
