Man dies after being hit by bus in Dhaka

A man was killed as a bus hit him in Motijheel area of capital Dhaka early Friday.

Deceased Abdul Jalil, 45, hailed from Doria village under Monoharganj upazila of Cumilla and was a covered van driver of a cement company in Narayanganj's Mokterpur.

Jalil's co-worker Al Amin said a speedy bus hit him around 12:30 am when he was crossing the road, leaving him injured.

He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead, Al Amin added.

DMCH Police Camp in-charge inspector Bachchu Mia confirmed the matter.
