3 students killed as bus runs over motorcycle in Sirajganj

Three college students were killed when a bus ran over a motorcycle in Sirajganj early Monday. 

The accident took place on Hatikumrul-Bonpara highway at Mannan Nagar area in Tarash upazila around 6:30am. 

The deceased were identified as Alamgir Hossain, 22, son of Barek Sarker of Ghulghagrakhali village in Belkuchui upazila, Sujon Hossain, 21, son of Helal Uddin of Nandanpur village at Puthia upazila in Rajshahi and Siam Ahmed, 23. 

Witnesses said, three friends were going to Rajshahi by a motorcycle. When their motorcycle reached the area, the bus ran it over. At that time, they died on the spot. 

Badrul Kabir, Officer-in-charge of Hatikumrul Highway Police Station, said the three dead bodies were recovered and brought to the police station. The bodies will be handed over to their respective families after completing legal procedures.
