Man dies after suffering burn injuries in Gulshan AC blast

A man, who was burnt in an Air Conditioner (AC) explosion in a house in Dhaka’s Niketon on Saturday morning, died around 12:30am on Sunday while undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (SHNIBPS).  

The deceased is Gopal Mollik, 28, son of Dijen Mollik of Joy-Narayanpur village at Sreepur upazila in Gazipur. He was an Office Assistant of M S K N International Company in Dhaka.   

Dr S M Ayub Hossain, Resident Surgeon of the SHNIBPS, confirmed the death to Jago News.

He said Gopal and Md Mizanur Rahman Mizan were admitted to the burn institute after the blast incident. Gopal suffered 100 percent burn injuries and died around 12:30am today. Mizan felt sick due to smoke of the blast and received treatment at the emergency department of the institute.
