Three die as pickup van plunges into ditch

Three people were killed and at least 15 others injured as a pickup van plunged into a roadside ditch in Kalihati upazila of Tangail on Wednesday afternoon.

Among the deceased, one was identified as Sahera Khatun.

Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station officer in-charge Shafiqul Islam confirmed the matter.

Police and witnesses said a pickup van carrying 30-35 people overturned and fell into a roadside ditch in Analiabari area on the Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge Highway around 12:45 pm, leaving three dead on the spot and at least 15 injured.
