Eight dengue patients hospitalized in 24 hrs

Eight people with dengue fever were hospitalized in the last 24 hours (from Tuesday 8 am to Wednesday 8 am).

Currently, a total of 21 patients diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals.

Of them, 11 are being treated at the facilities of Dhaka while 10 are in other divisions, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said today.  

As per the release, a total of 708 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year. 

A total of nine people died of dengue during the period while 678 out of the hospitalized patients recovered.
