Fisherman who was injured in tiger attack dies
A fisherman, who was injured by a tiger in the Sundarbans in Bagerhat, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Friday night.
Deceased Anukul Gain, 30, was the son of late Mukunda Gain, a resident of Amurbunia village in Morrelganj upazila of Bagerhat.
Md Shahjahan, an official at Ziudhara station (Mongla) under Sundarban East Forest Division, Bagerhat confirmed the matter.
Earlier on January 27, a tiger attacked Anukul when he went to Sudirerchila canal to catch fish, leaving him injured.
He was first taken to Morrelganj Upazila Health Complex and then, to Khulna Medical College Hospital.
On the same day, he was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for better treatment where he passed away yesterday while undergoing treatment.
