4 killed as bus overturns in Habiganj

At least four people were killed and at least 20 others injured when a bus overturned in Habiganj on Thursday evening.

The accident took place on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Baganbari area in Bahubal upazila around 6:30pm.  

Rescuers suspect the death toll might be increased.

Sakaria Haider, Deputy Assistant Director of Habiganj Fire Service Station, said bodies of four people were recovered from the spot. Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. The rescue work is continuing. 

Moenul Islam, Officer-in-charge of Shayestaganj Highway Police Station, confirmed the matter.
